Marley Jayne w/ Halem Albright, Indie-Americana LIVE in the Roots

Native to the hills of North Georgia, Marley Jayne brings together a variety of sounds from the high, lonesome fiddle to groovy, feet-tapping jams. She is a graduate of East Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s in Bluegrass, Old-Time, & Roots Music Studies and aims to use her skills to create a unique musical experience. Marley Jayne also has a passion for teaching and collaborating, you can catch her with the Halem Albright Band, and other local groups. She is gearing up to release her first EP, Transitions, so be on the lookout for new music soon!

Halem Albright (guitarist, vocalist, songwriter) was born and raised in Atlanta, Ga., brought up among music lovers. He started playing guitar and writing music at 14 and went on to be involved in several bands, one of which(“The Green Light Council”) was an Athens Flagpole award winner. He started working on his debut album “Don’t Listen To Me” in 2010 with some of Atlanta and Athens’ greatest producers and musicians(namely John Keane, Jeff Mosier, Duane Trucks, Count M’butu, and Ike Stubblefield). In 2013 “The Halem Albright Band” was formed and two years later, The H.A.B. had the honor of winning the “AthFest People’s Choice Awards” to be a part of the Athens’ festival’s compilation album. The Halem Albright Band’s first album “Through Human Eyes” was released in August of 2017, soon followed by the release of their first live album “Live At Vinyl”. In 2023 The H.A.B. signed a deal with Spectra Music Group for the release of “Blue Moon Confessions” in September of 2024, receiving rave reviews. Throughout his music career, Halem has shared bills with music veterans such as Col. Bruce Hampton, Leftover Salmon, TAUK, & The Disco Biscuits.

Hear the stories behind the songs as the artist(s) share their inspiration and even their heartaches.
