Join us for a Blue Ridge Mountain Christmas with The Solstice Sisters. Formed in 1994, these three friends, Maggie Hunter, Susan Staley and Anna Hiers harmonize old time country ballads, bluegrass, traditional folk and 40’s styled swing. Joining the Sisters are Mike Harrison on bass & banjo and Andy Carlson on fiddle, mandolin & guitar. Known not only for their lovely three part harmonies, but also for their spontaneous and engaging live shows.
They have 3 recordings, 2 of which are holiday themed, “Holiday Music From Around The World ” recorded in 1999 and “Maybe By Christmas” released in 2019. They have performed at many festivals in Northeast Georgia including Bear On The Square, North Georgia Folk Festival, and were regulars at the Mountain Music and Medicine Show, a live radio show taped at the Holly Theater in Dahlonega.
