SUMMARY:Texas Blues-Rock Singer-Songwriter: MARK WINTERS LIVE in the Roots
DESCRIPTION:Purchase Tickets HERE. \nTexas-based rock singer-songwriter Mark Winters is many things; a witty poet\, passionate musician\, entrepreneur\, optimist\, family man\, and a bonafide rocket scientist. He first picked up a guitar to play a song for his wife on their anniversary. That’s when he discovered the joy of connecting with people through music. Mark combines music\, poetry\, a science background\, and love for his community to form his signature sound\, “rock with a positive vibe.” \nHis musical roots are in rock\, blues rock\, and pop\, and John Mayer\, Tom Petty\, and Jason Mraz are significant influences. “My music starts from a place of poetry and creative inspiration\, and I use my ‘rocket-scientist brain’ to find structures that help me explore that initial burst of inspiration and feeling – like writing haikus\, my favorite! My grandmother taught me to express myself through poetry and I’m thankful to her for setting me on this creative and expressive path.” \nMark Winters’ “Boundary Layer” will put you in the high frequency energy state to feel ultra confident to release your old boundaries. – Americana Highways \nWinters writes songs that are catchy and engaging that will brighten your day and lift your mood.” \n– Indie Band Guru \n“Mark Winters is a mad rocket-scientist who finds his charm through the magic of poetry and music” – Testing Melodies \n“And when Winters sings? Man\, he pours his heart and soul into it. You can practically feel the passion in every note. His voice climbs\, and it’s like he’s sending out this wave of hope and positivity.” – Music Arenagh \nConnect authentically to the artists by hearing them in our “speakeasy”-styled intimate listening room\, the Roots\, located underground beneath the Canopy social house. Hear the stories behind the songs as the artist(s) share their inspiration and even their heartaches. Doors open at 7:00pm; show starts at 7:30pm; VIP lounge with couches\, booths\, and tables are available. Reserve by emailing events@canopyandtheroots.com . .

SUMMARY:Wyatt Espalin\, Appalachian Fiddler LIVE in the Roots underground speakeasy
DESCRIPTION:Purchase Tickets HERE. \nWyatt Espalin is an award-winning singer-songwriter\, fiddler\, and storyteller whose music captures the raw beauty of his Appalachian roots. Raised on a rustic campground in North Georgia by his maternal grandparents\, Wyatt’s musical journey began with his championship-winning clogging and Appalachian buck-dancing before evolving into a passion for songwriting and performance. \nHis artistry has been recognized through numerous accolades\, including winning the 2014 L.E.A.F. Festival New Song Singer-Songwriter Competition and placing as a finalist in prestigious events such as the Telluride Bluegrass Festival Troubadour Competition\, the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival Songwriter Showcase\, and Eddie’s Attic Bi-Annual Open Mic Shootouts. Wyatt has also shared the stage with an impressive lineup of artists\, including the Indigo Girls\, Jim Lauderdale\, Patty Loveless\, Shawn Mullins\, Lorrie Morgan\, and Sam Bush\, among many others. \nIn 2026\, Wyatt will release his debut full-length album\, Lies From A Lonesome Valley\, featuring his band\, The Riverstones\, and special guest appearances by Amy Ray of Indigo Girls and singer-songwriter Grace Pettis. This collection of songs reflects Wyatt’s deep introspection on identity\, belonging\, and the search for home. Blending haunting melodies\, evocative storytelling\, and rich instrumentation\, the album presents his songwriting through a new lens\, equally suited to intimate duo performances or full-band arrangements. \nWyatt’s personal history informs his music in profound ways. Born in Los Angeles to parents serving in the U.S. Navy\, his early years were marked by instability\, moving between homes and enduring family struggles. After years of upheaval\, he and his brother found stability with their grandparents in the North Georgia mountains. It was here that Wyatt discovered his love for performing\, first as a clogger alongside his brother\, then as a self-taught fiddler inspired by the traditional sounds of Appalachian music. \nHis journey into songwriting began in high school\, influenced by a youth minister who composed songs for church gatherings. Over time\, Wyatt honed his craft\, using music as a form of healing and self-expression. In recent years\, Wyatt has brought that healing to veterans as a writer with the Warrior Week and Music Therapy of the Rockies Songwriting projects as well as Beyond Bars\, a prison songwriting program sponsored by the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County\, Florida. His songs\, rich with vivid storytelling and emotional depth\, resonate with audiences across the country\, whether performed in a small listening room or on a festival stage.\nBeyond music\, Wyatt embraces his Appalachian heritage\, enjoying camping\, hiking\, rafting\, and kayaking. His connection to nature and his past continues to shape his artistry\, making him a standout voice in contemporary folk and Americana music. As he prepares for the release of Lies From A Lonesome Valley\, Wyatt Espalin remains a compelling performer\, weaving together the threads of his past into music that is both deeply personal and universally moving. \nExperience sound and sight like no where else in the “Roots” where cave meets dramatic lighting and underground speakeasy vibes. DESCRIPTION:Purchase tickets HERE. \n\n\n\nCountry-folk duo by Georgia-born-and-raised Wyeth Nabeel and Hadley Thackston \n\n\n\n\nMILKWEED is a country-folk duo by Georgia-born-and-raised Wyeth Nabeel and Hadley Thackston. Thick as thieves since they were five\, their bond is the thread that runs through every note they sing. Their music is a patchwork of girlhood and the long\, winding stretch into womanhood; stitched with growing pains\, heart\, grit\, and the kind of companionship that only comes from a lifetime of knowing and being known. Influenced by the likes of Sierra Ferrell\, Courtney-Marie Andrews\, and Kacey Musgraves\, MILKWEED crafts songs that feel nostalgic\, hopeful\, mischievous\, and full of sweetness – like coming home to yourself.

SUMMARY:Eliot Bronson : storytellin' Americana LIVE at Canopy + the Roots
DESCRIPTION:Purchase tickets here. \nOver the course of seven albums\, indie folksinger Eliot Bronson has created his own brand of atmospheric American roots music. He’s an award winner. A road warrior with audiences on both sides of the Atlantic. An internationally-renowned songwriter with a voice that swoons and sweeps\, making fans out of everyone from his hometown newspaper\, The Baltimore Sun — who championed Bronson from the very start\, hailing him as “a folk singing wunderkind” back when he was still playing local coffeeshops — to Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb\, whose work on 2014’s Eliot Bronson and 2017’s James placed Bronson on the same client roster as heartfelt songwriters like Jason Isbell and Chris Stapleton. \nHis new record\, Arrive\, will be released on Nov. 6\, 2026.Produced by the incredible Oliver Wood Engineered and mixed by Brook Sutton at The Studio Nashville. Over the last two years\, Eliot has been sneaking away to the mountains or the forest on solo writing retreats. I’ve been listening for the words I needed to hear. I’ve been asking myself\, “What can I offer? What can I learn? And what needs to be healed?” There’s so much to say about this record. There will be time for that. For now\, I’ll just say that this is a different kind of album for me. The songs aren’t fueled by pain or grief\, but by abundance. Sure\, there’s still sadness in them. But there’s a greater wholeness somehow. Joy\, even.I’ve never been more proud of anything I’ve made. Or of the incredible group of people I got to make it with.Huge thanks to robertbrethartley \, Will Robertson \, John Mailander \, Gabe Dixon \, Matt Glassmeyer kRisTINA TRAIN \, JP Ruggieri \, Mark Raudabaugh and of course\, Oliver Wood. We made a really special record\, my friends\, and I can’t wait for the world to hear it. \nPhotography: Andrew Lee Graphic design: Keith Brogdon \nBefore moving to ATL\, he’d grown up in working-class Baltimore\, within walking distance of the Pentecostal Church where his father and grandfather once preached to congregants who spoke in tongues. His parents drew their inspiration from religion and 1960s counterculture\, but Bronson took his own from the records that filled his father’s collection\, from folk acts like Bob Dylan\, Paul Simon\, and Joni Mitchell to the trailblazing blues duo of Brownie McGhee and Sonny Terry. Inspired to make his own music\, he began writing songs as a teenager and eventually relocated to Atlanta\, where he performed with The Brilliant Inventions for years before winning first place in the Chris Austin Songwriting Contest as a solo act. \nBronson is a diverse songwriter\, bouncing between poetic turns-of-phrase and direct narratives\, and he’s never sounded so compelling as a vocalist. Whether leaping into his falsetto or singing in a woozy croon\, he wrings every ounce of feeling from his lyrics\, bringing those emotions to vivid life.
