DESCRIPTION:Our Thursday Sessions are special showcase performances with local and emerging NGA artists and musicians; every show is $8 at the door. Call the store to purchase advance tickets. A venue like no other\, c’mon outta the city and into the mountains for a cozy\, safe\, and professionally-optimized acoustic space to hear original singers\, songwriters\, comedians\, and spoken word artists from the Roots’ stage. Some shows have craft beer and wine available for purchase as well as a supper plate created by local chefs. \nMasks required for entry. \nCountry\, Folk and Rock & Roll straight from the Appalachian Foothills\, that’s the music of Canon Tyler\, y’all. Canon is a home grown singer-songwriter from the hills of north Georgia. His songs tell stories of pride\, hope\, hard times and tough breaks as they pertain to life at fringes of Appalachia. Born and raised in small town Dawsonville\, GA\, Canon has watched as his family and friends have gone through all of the above\, and translates these stories into honest songs about making it through each day. Inspired by modern Country heavy-hitters like Tyler Childers\, Jason Isbell and Sturgill Simpson\, as well as ’70s folk legends Neil Young and Jackson Browne\, Tyler’s music comes out somewhere in the middle – Appalachian Folk\, if you will.
