- I’m not flexible, can I practice yoga? Yoga is a practice that meets you each day, right where you are. Just because someone next to you is head-standing does not mean that is the standard. Every body makes a different shape; we honor our bodies in every class, both physically, and emotionally, mentally and spiritually. We can challenge our bodies while also giving ourselves grace.
- What do I wear? Wear comfy clothing that you can move in, gym or workout clothes are perfect.
- Do I need a bunch of yoga gear? Bring water, a towel and a mat. No mat? We have them available to rent in-studio for two dollars.
- First yoga practice ever? Read our class descriptions on the schedule here or read about different practices we offer here. We also offer timely educational yoga articles, information, and workshops.
Yogi things we encourage and request:
- Arrive at the studio at least five minutes before the scheduled start time.
- Please notify the instructor of any injury or surgery recovery you may have prior to the start of class.
- We leave our shoes off and in cubbies outside of the studio door. Your personal belongings can be stored in one of our lockers or additional cubbies in-studio
- Students are asked to come in and out of the studio with minimal noise and disruption. This is especially important when a practice is in session.
- To practice yoga in our studio, you must have a signed waiver on file with Canopy and pay drop-in rate or be current in membership prior to the start of class.
- Hands-on adjustments and essential oils are used in all practices. If you prefer not to receive one or either, you can notify the instructor.
