Thursday Sessions with Okay Kenedi LIVE in the Roots
March 18 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Connect authentically to the artists by hearing them in our “speakeasy”-styled intimate listening room, the Roots, located underground beneath the Canopy social house. Hear the stories behind the songs as the artist(s) share their inspiration and even their heartaches. Doors open at 8:00pm; show starts at 8:30pm; balcony seating available for VIP add-on or members only. Locally-sourced craft beer and wine available for purchase. Masks are required for entry; touchless temperature screening upon ticket scan. Thank you for helping us help everyone enjoy a SAFE (and state-compliant)evening of live music.
Turning honesty into sonically bright tunes, Okay Kenedi bends the indie-pop genre over guitar-heavy melodies and danceable moods. Based out of metro-Atlanta, the 2019 start-up is fronted by Kenedi Griffis (vocals) and held together rhythmically by Sarah Dickerson (drums) and Micayla Wise (bass).
Together, the trio released their first single “Playing Games” under their short-term name Kenedi. in late 2019. After rebranding under Okay Kenedi, acoustic story-teller “God of Jacob” showcased their musical diversity in early 2020. Their debut album, Drive My Car, boldly expresses a full-bodied mixture of pop-rock and wonky pop, co-produced with Cory and Julia Shuman (Little Bird Big Sound) in Savannah, GA.
Tickets at the door, $8. Call the store for advance purchase.
